This term in Science Year 6 are learning about the circulatory system and its functions. Today the children were given a fantastic opportunity to have a real hands on experience with a lambs heart. The children handled and observed the heart closely, looking at its structure and discussing its function. The children also learnt about how important it is to have a healthy heart.
Year 6 took part in this year’s Children North East Sandcastle competition at Sandhaven Beach, South Shields. The children created sandcastles linked to the theme of, ‘ Great Northern Inventors’. They were supported by business representatives from MTL Scaffolding.
Children of year 6 competed in South Tyneside’s Kwick Cricket Competition at South Shields Cricket Club. 3 teams played against a variety of schools from around the borough and won a least two games! Well Done!
