The Tiger who came to tea.
This week we have been reading the Judith Kerr story, The Tiger who came to tea and exploring related activities. We have been using orange and black paint to draw tiger stripes and paint tigers. We have also been playing tea parties with tea sets and using tea bags in the water area to explore filling and emptying different jugs and containers. We painted tiger striped patterns on paper plate masks and used potatoes cut into paw shapes to print tiger footprints. Today we made chocolate cakes, just like the ones that the tiger in the story eats all up at Sophie’s house. We measured out the different ingredients and stirred the mixture before carefully spooning it into paper cases and baking the buns in the oven for 20 minutes. Mmmm! Delicious!
