Premium Allocations

Details of our premium allocations can be found below.

Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and in 2012–13 individual schools were allocated funding for children from low-income families who were eligible for free school meals, looked after children and those from families with parents in the Armed Forces.

Sports Premium

The Government is providing funding of £150 million per annum for academic years 2013/14 and 2014/15 to provide new, substantial primary school sport funding. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children. The sport funding can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.

Catch up funding

The government is providing funding to cover a one-off universal catch-up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year. It aims to support pupils to catch up for lost learning so schools can meet the curriculum expectations for the next academic year.

Schools are able to spend the funding in the most effective way for our pupils.

We will receive a total of £80 per pupil (for reception through to year 6), as follows:

  • In 3 instalments – in autumn 2020, ‘early 2021’ and summer 2021
  • We will get a total of £46.67 per pupil split across payments 1 and 2
  • We will get £33.33 per pupil for payment 3
