Thurston 2023

Year 6 and some Year 5 children visited Thurston which is in Coniston in the Lake District. They had the most amazing time and experienced so many new things. Not only did they challenge themselves to unfamiliar activities, they learned so much about themselves, resilience, bravery and team work. Some of the activities that they enjoyed were: gill scrambling, mountain climbing, canoeing, cave exploring, tree climbing and orienteering. All of the children had outstanding behaviour and beautiful manners throughout their stay and they represented St Mary’s School beautifully.
