Year 5- Design and build a raft

Today the children used their designs to build a raft that could carry Mr Turtle across a stretch of water. They showed amazing teamwork and excellent problem-solving skills. They tested their rafts to see if they would float and learnt a new word ‘buoyancy.’ Not only was the lesson a fun activity, the children were shocked at all the new things that they had learned. Ask them to tell you what they learned today.
