Year Five Visit the Mosque.

Year 5 had such an interesting morning at the Mosque this morning. We learned about the five pillars of Islam and spoke about the Muslim community in Sunderland. Year 5 are currently learning about Early Islamic Civilization, so it was interesting to learn about the Prophet Muhammad and how he was a messenger from God. The children had the opportunity to go inside of the prayer halls and asked lots of very interesting questions.
