Year Six visit Emmaus Youth Village

Year Six travelled to the Emmaus Youth Village to take part in the Primary School Festival which was called ‘Bold and Brave.’ It centred around 2000 years ago when Jesus called a young fisherman to step out of the boat and walk on water towards him. It seemed utterly impossible however Simon Peter bravely left the boat and walked towards his saviour.

This festival allowed the children to reflect upon this story and recognise that God might be calling them to: courageously speak up for others or when there is unfairness; reach out to someone who is lonely; forgive, ask for help and respond to God’s call. Be bold and be brave.
